Turritis glabra California—Southwestern Sierra Nevada. Fresno Co, Sierra NF: Along Willow Creek just northwest of the town of North Fork, south of Bass Lake, Forest Road 7S09; 37º15'51.0", 119º29.54.2", 910 m. Riparian. Forest in region of mosaic oak woodland and mixed evergreen forest. Tall erect, simple-stemmed, herb to 3 m high with erect fruits in long racemes and much shorter terminal racemes of white flowers. Basal leaves oblanceolate, > 5 mm wide; seeds in one row. Frequent and scattered at edge of secondary growth. Richard Spjut & Paul Burchstead 16324.
