Baja California Norte: Near Campo Nuevo,
Spjut & Marin 12743, Mar 1993.
This is a very common shrub just inland from the Pacific Coast fog on dry stony slopes from near Campo Nuevo to just north of Punta Cono. The shrub is usually not more than 1 m high, but often several or meters broad; the root gives off a very foul odor when slashed.
